Radio from Korea itself

Korea's own broadcasters — KBS, MBC and SBS — play K-pop alongside everything else, and the idols appear on their radio shows. Korean radio online covers the country's stations.

K-pop and J-pop

Many fans listen to both. Listen.moe also runs a J-pop channel, and Japanese radio online covers J-pop and anime music.

A little history

Modern K-pop is usually dated to 1992, when Seo Taiji and Boys debuted on a television talent show. The idol system of agencies such as SM, YG and JYP followed later in the decade, and the Korean wave carried it across Asia and then, with Psy's "Gangnam Style" in 2012 and BTS, around the world.
