The sound of the city

Liverpool gave the world the Beatles, and in the early 1960s the Merseybeat sound of Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Searchers grew out of clubs such as the Cavern. BBC Radio Merseyside has broadcast to the region since 1967. UK radio, Oldies radio and Rock radio go further.

Listening from elsewhere

Liverpool keeps UK time — GMT in winter and an hour ahead (BST) in summer.
