Montreal Radio Online: Stations Streaming Live

Updated 27 September 2026

You can listen to Montreal radio online in any browser, with no download and no account: open 72FM, search for a station's name, and press play. Montreal's radio is bilingual — Radio-Canada in French, the CBC in English — with talk, rock, a lively campus station and a famous funk show.

Public radio

• ICI Radio-Canada Première Montréal — French-language news and talk.
• ICI Musique — Radio-Canada's music network: classical, jazz, blues and world music.
• CBC Radio One Montréal — English-language news and current affairs.

Talk, rock and campus radio

• CJAD 800 — English-language news and talk.
• CHOM 97.7 — rock.
• CKUT 90.3 — McGill University's campus and community station.
• WEFUNK Radio — the funk and hip-hop show that began on CKUT in 1996.

The sound of the city

Montreal lives in two languages, and so does its radio — French-language stations dominate, but English-language talk and rock have a loyal audience. Canadian radio and French radio go further.

A little history

Montreal was one of radio's first cities: XWA, a Marconi company station, began test broadcasts in 1919 and grew into CFCF, and CKAC, founded in 1922, was the first French-language station in North America. Quebec radio online covers the province.

Listening from elsewhere

Montreal keeps Eastern time — five hours behind UTC in winter and four in summer.

A route in

1. ICI Première, for French-language public radio.
2. CBC Radio One, for English.
3. CKUT, for campus radio.
4. WEFUNK, for funk.

Along the St Lawrence, Toronto radio online is next.
