WWOZ: the city's music station

WWOZ 90.7 is New Orleans's community radio station for jazz and heritage music. It first went on the air on 4 December 1980, famously from above Tipitina's music club, and its volunteer DJs play the city's music — traditional and modern jazz, R&B, brass bands, gospel, blues, Cajun and zydeco. WWOZ also carries the city's festivals, and it is the most-voted New Orleans station in the directory. WWOZ-2 is a second stream.
