The sound of the state

Johann Sebastian Bach was cantor of St Thomas Church in Leipzig from 1723 until his death in 1750; Richard Wagner was born in Leipzig and Robert Schumann in Zwickau. MDR has its headquarters in Leipzig, and the rock band Kraftklub comes from Chemnitz. German radio, classical radio and Berlin radio go further.
