Belgian Radio Online: Stations Streaming Live

Updated 2 October 2026

You can listen to Belgian radio online in any browser, with no download and no account: open 72FM, search for a station's name, and press play. Belgium has three public broadcasters for three languages — VRT in Dutch, RTBF in French and BRF in German — plus one of the world's best-known dance festivals on the radio.

VRT — Dutch-language public radio

• Radio 1 — news and talk.
• Radio 2 — regional stations for each province.
• Studio Brussel — alternative and indie, with channels such as Vuurland and UNTZ.
• MNM — hits, with MNM Hits.
• Klara — classical and culture, with Klara Continuo.

RTBF — French-language public radio

• La Première — news and talk.
• Classic 21 — classic rock.
• VivaCité — regional radio.
• Tipik — youth radio.

German-language, commercial and more

• BRF1 and BRF2 — public radio for the German-speaking community.
• Bel RTL — news and hits.
• NRJ België, Fun Radio and Joe — hits.
• Nostalgie — oldies, in French and Flemish editions.
• Tomorrowland One World Radio — from the dance festival.

Three languages, one dial

Belgium's radio follows its language communities: Flemish listeners tune to VRT, French-speakers to RTBF, and the small German-speaking east to BRF. In bilingual Brussels both sets of stations share the dial — Brussels radio online covers the capital. Dutch radio and French radio go further.

A little history

Belgian public radio began as the national NIR/INR in 1930 and was split by language in 1960, into BRT for Dutch speakers and RTB for French speakers — the forerunners of today's VRT and RTBF.

Listening from abroad

Belgian stations keep Central European Time — one hour ahead of UTC in winter and two in summer.
