Nature Sounds Radio: Rain, Ocean, Forest and White Noise, Live

You can listen to nature sounds radio online in any browser, with no download and no account: open 72FM, search for "nature", "rain" or "white noise", and press play. These stations stream rain on a roof, waves on a beach, wind in a forest or a steady fan hum, around the clock — for sleep, focus, a crying baby or a noisy office — and one of them is a live microphone in a real forest at the foot of Mount Fuji.

A live forest

Yamanakako — a live sound stream from microphones in the University of Tokyo's forest by Lake Yamanaka, 1,000 metres up at the foot of Mount Fuji. It is not a recording: you hear the birds, the wind and the rain as they happen, and at night, the quiet. Researchers have even used these live forest streams to count birds remotely.

White noise
